Mozambique launched tender to revise Postal Codes and Address system
INCM, the Mozambican government institution and communications regulator, responsible for postal address codes, launched a tender to revise it.
In this context, our company PostCodes & Addresses Ltd, submitted its candidacy with the expectation of winning, and being the implementer of the new type of CEP for Mozambique, from the Rovuma river to Wimbo.
According to the general manager of the company Sergio Cesar, he revealed that “working to implement the postal code in Mozambique was an eternal dream, and for him it will be such an honor to be able to deliver the best of the best postal code system for is motherland Mozambique, efficiently and in timely manner, as it will bring countless benefits to the Mozambican economy”.
The GD also added that “it is our company’s vision to implement the Postal Code in all countries that do not have one, and there are some countries that do not have an address at all, so we will vow to implant one to these countries, wherever they are”.
The initial work in Mozambique is scheduled to be undertaken this year 2022. However, due to the country’s complex geographical divisional structure and its density, as well as the fact that there was an attempted to implant another model of CEP, it’s implementation in Mozambique will be revised priory to it. According to the company, implementation of such project may take about 3 to 5 years.
